2024 Trip Dates/Route

Gentlemen:

Let's nail down some acceptable dates and destinations for this years trip. 2024, I believe someone stated this would be our 20th year!

Some destination ideas thrown out there are:

• Ozarks/Branson
• Jasper National Park Of Canada(again)
• Lake Superior Loop
• Duluth
• Winnipeg or Thunder Bay

Anyway, it is already summer and time is running out, fellas.

If we are looking for a shorter trip, my vote is for Winnipeg or Thunder Bay or both.
And if a longer, Ozarks/Branson.

And for dates, I have these available:
July 7 through July 12
July 26th through August 3
August 2 through August 10
August 23 through August 31
A couple of other weekends that I am on call and could juggle things around to make them work. 

What is everyone else thinking?

yo,  July 7-12 looks like a doable time frame.  a short trip would be my preference also.  Winnie all the way!!

Are you saying you cannot leave on Saturday July 6th, and need to be back for the weekend of July 13th & 14th?

Sounds like Winnipeg and possibly Thunder Bay...everyone should try and see if there is anything they want to do in Winnie, and/or on the route to and from.

Yes, that is correct.  I have something going on on July 6th and on the 13th, so Sunday the 7th through Friday the 12th is the best I could do for that week.   I am on call the 13th and 14th, but might be able to switch if we want to utilize the weekend as well.

Nick, I see your route takes the southern route on 11 through Canada.  Have we ever taken the northern route on 17?  I cant remember.

i want say that we have not taken the northern route.  looks like there are gas stations along the way,,,

I had the same thought Russ...I was thinking why not the more northern route, as it may actually be more direct, shorter, and scenic.

The only week that works for me is the last week in August.  Or a short weekend trip later in the year.

I will be out of town July 25th through the 27th but I could go July 28th through August 3rd.

Shawn, just to clarify, do you have something planned/scheduled for Sunday August 4th? Or would that day be available for the trip?!

Russ, does this still work with your schedule?  I see those dates were on your original list, has that changed?  If not, lets plan on that, the July 28th thru August 3rd (4th?)
