It don't matter to me much....but I do think that this will be an easy day so if we wanted to we could leave a little later!  Or we could just have a good breakfast somewhere?
As far as the route I will leave it up to you guys, just don't let me get to far ahead when dealing with stops lights, or don't make any sudden turns, as my tires are new and I hope to keep them that way.

27 looks like quite the route.  I think that looks good, but I dont know about the first day being easy.  It will be a 400+ mile day.  A good breakfast and supper when we arrive sounds good.  And yea, checking out cracks in rocks definitely sounds like a good time to me.  I'm thinking we will see lots rocks along the way we can check out if need be.  Hopefully some other scenery too.  Hwy 27 it is then?

Time?  Yea, I think leaving at 8am or so would be good.  Should bring us into the Bay at a decent time.

4 sure.  Drop a piece on the ground and feed the seagulls!  Mmm... smoky fish.  What else is good to see along 61?  Souvenirs in Grand Portage?
