When I checked the Fairfield, the price wasn't a whole lot cheaper than Pier B...$560.44 total (Non-refundable) or the rate would be $140.11 / person for that night. (Roughly $15 / person less than Pier B...)

We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Duluth Waterfront and the Park Point Marina Inn and they're both pretty nice and are a short walk across the lift bridge to Canal Park.

I can cancel the reservations anytime up until July 26th...$618.26 total or the rate would be $154.57 / person for that night.

For one night, I wanted to be close to everything by the canal and to also stay somewhere we haven't before...

Plus, with only one night in Duluth the AirBnb options were much less. Otherwise, here are some other options:

would 1 night stay in duluth be doable, so that we arrive eventually in Winnie on wednesday?  then i can leave on thursday and the rest of the 2 wheel riders can hang in Winnie till saturaday?
