I thought we were planning on staying in hotels after we left Vegas?

We did discuss that back in replies #27 & #37-#39

Gentlemen,

I have attached an updated trip itinerary.  I made some tweaks to the pricing per person, it now includes pricing for Shawn staying with us for the whole journey. (Sorry, I assumed you were departing early Shawn!!  :-\  I was just going by the information I had available at the time...)

Later,

Nate Dogg

Here are some electronic miles for you to enjoy!  I will be adding the rest as I get them done.  All are in gpx 1.0  There is also a version 1.1, but the Garmins dont like that version.  Nick, if yours would like the 1.1 version, just let me know.

yo Russ, thanks for the electronic gps miles!!  i could give the ver.1.1 a try?  i am willing to bet a can of soda, that it will not be as accommodating as your gps has been on previous trips as to following the route exactly!!  where as mine seems to do whatever!!  but with that being said, as long as i can see your brake lights or as long as i can see your head lights in the rear view mirros, i might be on the correct direction of the planned route!!  thank you once again to this matter and yours and Nate Doggs attention to details!!   And can you put all the McD's on the routes please?!  I am Lovin It!!

You can sure give the ver 1.1 a try.  I have attached it to this message.  The file doesn't appear to have much different inside of it, so I don't really know what the difference is.  Maybe it will keep you precisely on route!  Even if we don't see each others lights, I think your high tech machinery will get you to point B, perhaps just by taking a different route.  I will leave the custom McD's POI's up to you.  You can find them here:

Load em up Nick-Lovin-It!

Yes. Everything is paid in full. You can pay me at your discretion, especially since we cannot yet say what the cost per person is... 8)

Hey man, what about a The Dogg House to Sturgis, SD route?!!  Come on man!!  :P ;)

Day 1 from Hoffman to Sturgis I didn't have enough points in and the GPS wanted to take us on the freeway the whole way.  Attached is a modified GPX with more points to keep us on the side roads.

And I discovered that my GPS didnt like having the Date - Destinations.gpx format of the files.  It refused to import them that way, so I had to rename them to just the date like the one attached.

Enjoy!

Huh!  ???  Very interesting because my GPS imported all of the files and when I looked at the 1st day Sturgis route it appeared fine.
As far as the name of the file, didn't yours work last year?  Because you had them labelled the same way last year; date and destination.  I know because I still had them in my GPS memory card and decided to delete them when I added the new ones...

Anyway, lets all get them loaded and tested before the actual trip.  I plan on getting some riding and testing in this weekend!  8)
